On April 6, Honda unveiled the all-new 2017 Honda Civic Si, the new generation of the sporty Civic variant that will slot between the “normal” Civic and the diabolical Honda Civic Type R.

The new Civic Si is expected to launch later this year. Being the first Honda Civic Si to feature a turbocharged engine, the new generation promises to be truly fun to drive.

A Turbo Engine for the New 2017 Honda Civic Si

Honda is going all in on turbocharging with its new models, and we are not complaining. Indeed, a turbo engine generally delivers better performance while being more fuel-efficient. This will be the case with the new Honda Civic Si that will develop 205 horsepower and a 192 lb-ft torque. The 2017 Honda Civic Si offers 18 lb-ft more torque than the model it replaces, in addition to offering this torque at lower rpm and keeping it longer across the rev band.

In other words, you have more, longer-lasting, and faster power. Along with a new suspension and adaptive shocks, the 2017 Honda Civic Si will also feature stiffer stabilizer bars, a six-speed manual transmission and 18-inch wheels.

It also offers a more dynamic style that goes hand in hand with its even more impressive performance.
